The Machine Keeps Running On…

Raise the stakes like a silent auction.

Must be in orbit the way the mind’s revolving.

The system’s so ill like a child aborted,

And we’re its subordinates…

It releases the pain,

How does time resolve it?

Left in the rain like we’re blind and orphaned.

Most everyone is subjected to this kind of torture.

While we’re preyed upon by these mindless vultures.

Take their trillions, reducing us to dimes and quarters.

So we’re forced to hustle but it’s a crime reported.

When it’s feast or famine it’s like one’s confined to corners,

And that’s the perfect cycle for this timeless onslaught.

Political?

No, this is what I find abhorrent.

Pummeled with propaganda until the mind’s distorted.

Take a drink, smoke a blunt or find a line to snort it,

Just to forget about the things that drive us towards it.

And this is how we’re supposed to define our culture?!?

And the machine keeps running bill by bill,

Hurrah, Hurrah!

By any means necessary just make the deal,

Hurrah, Hurrah!

Starve the poor, don’t mind the horror, destroy the planet, don’t mind the store,

Because no one’s watching,

When the machine keeps running on…

The machine keeps running on…

Separate the crowd and divide the masses,

To conquer the world while we try to survive this madness.

No end to the threats that keep us dying and gasping,

Until we have no feeling, don’t know if we’re crying or laughing.

This is the end, there’s no denying the caption.

Try to turn to religion, relying on magic.

But that’s just another extension of this Divine contraption,

That decimates it’s enemies by buying their sadness.

If that doesn’t work, it’ll devise an action,

That will end more life with vile reactions.

Efficiency is key, that’s why it supplies distractions.

Devise a war to obtain more, politicize the clashing.

Pretend to solve the problems while it revises that atlas.

New World Order and disasters?

Well, sometimes they happen.

Profit from pain because there’s no soul behind the glasses.

And once one recognizes this, they deny one rations.

And the machine keeps running, bill by bill,

Hurrah, Hurrah!

Opposition is killed, it’s such a thrill,

Hurrah, Hurrah!

It’ll loot the funds, watch us kill over crumbs, we’ve become so numb…

But no one’s watching,

When the machine keeps running on…

When the machine keeps running on….

Time to turn on the tube to let it hypnotize the brain.

The perfect plot if one can visualize insane.

We see celebrities with their riches, mesmerized by fame.

Desensitized to violence, vaporized by flame.

Ignorance is the medicine used to disguise the claims.

Truth?

If you choose to see it, then they prescribe you pain.

What a sick joke, everyone sighs, complains

But don’t do a damn thing to change it, dying in vain.

In this paradox there aren’t any signs displayed

And there’s no black and white, simply ugly shades of gray.

Stay sick and intoxicated, can’t recognize the plague.

Because this machine here ultimately despises the reign

Of knowledge and truth that can make one look inside and change

Because if that ever happens, it’ll be the demise of the game.

The machine keeps running bill by bill,

Hurrah, Hurrah!

Pop those pills because we’re “ill.”

Hurrah, Hurrah!

They aim to kill, let’s keep it real, no heart, no fight, no sound, no squeal.

And it’s almost crashing…

But the machine keeps running on….

The machine keeps running on…

The machine keeps running bill by bill,

Hurrah, Hurrah!

Open our eyes to reveal what’s real,

Hurrah, Hurrah!

We’re the engine, let’s pull the plug, stop the hate, and start to love,

And it’ll all be over…

But the machine keeps running on…

The machine keeps running on…
